A plan cannot create more time

The plan is full. The time that belongs to you has disappeared.

When meals, movement, relationships, and everyday commitments stay invisible, it is easy to overestimate what a week can hold. When the plan breaks, it often leaves frustration and guilt instead of progress.

How Open Space works

Do not estimate a week by feel. See its boundaries first.

Put committed time on the calendar. The open space that remains is where choice begins.

  1. 01

    Map the time already committed

Put meals, movement, relationships, and everyday obligations on the week. Once they are visible, capacity is no longer just a feeling.

  2. 02

See the open time that is yours to choose

Time not claimed by a commitment stays open. It is the upper bound of your choice, not a quota that must all become work.

  3. 03

    Record focus after it happens

Work does not crowd the calendar in advance. Record a focus session after completion, so the week reflects fact rather than wish.

Open Space is an independent product inspired by psychologist Neil Fiore's Un-Schedule method. It is not an official or authorised implementation.

One honest week

From seeing existing commitments to knowing where focus went.

One independent creator's week connects every step.

01

Existing commitments become visible first

Walks, lunch, exercise, and dinner appear on the week. Client and personal projects show only the focus that was completed.

02

Focus becomes a record when it ends

Name completed focus and connect it to a project without letting future tasks fill the calendar in advance.

03

Review with facts, not blame

At week's end, see where life, projects, and focus truly went before choosing the one thing that matters next.

A deliberately small loop

Plan a little less. Keep a little more choice.

Open Space is not a to-do list, and it will not automatically fill every gap. It helps you see and review four things.

Life commitments

Make existing commitments visible before estimating capacity.

Open space

Keep uncommitted time visible.

Focus records

Record only the effort that happened.
